Kershaw didn't get the walk off grand slam. No sense watching the rest of this game.

I’m so glad Vasgersian doesn’t call hockey because he would scream over everything.

I like the 10th inning rule and we lost last night in part because of it.

The Red Sox got 3 players back in the trade with the Dodgers for Mookie. Better to get 3 players (and dump Price's salary) then let him walk away and get a 3rd round pick in the draft.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Probably better to just keep him tbh

Completely agree. I would have loved to have him in a Red Sox uniform for the rest of his career but he didn't want to stay. The team offered him multi year contracts every year since his rookie year and turned them all down. He made it clear he was going to test free agency. At one point they offered him the 2nd biggest contract in baseball after Trout and he said know, it was also a bigger contract dollar wise per year than what he signed with LA. You just can't make people sign contracts if they don't want to. The Sox figured better to trade him and get players back instead of letting him walk and maybe they could resign him after but COVID hit and he ended up staying in LA. It is what it is.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

If I was a Sox fan I would've rathered they paid Mookie instead of Sale and Xander but even that doesn't add up to his contract so they weren't keeping him period

Of course they could have afforded to

Signing Sale and Xander had nothing to do with keeping Mookie. It wasn't a them or him thing. The ownership was willing to go over the luxury tax in order to keep him, something that they said numerous times well before they traded him. It was Mookie didn't want to sign with the Red Sox, it's really that simple. I know it's easy to pile it on saying the Sox just let him go instead of paying him (which is the false narrative) but they were ready and willing too. You just can't force someone to sign a contract if they don't want to.

This is correct. If he did he would have worked something out with the team, he never even made counteroffers to them.
