I agree. I’m only a casual fan but some of the posts in this thread definitely are a bit odd. This thread feels kinda unwelcoming to new/casual fans at times they way some people talk.

To be fair, phaynes, 95% of your posts are incredibly negative.

I do think the cryptic messages are annoying, but at the end of the day, pretty easy to just block or tune out people who annoy you.

 

Andy once actually told me “no thank you” at a show like eight years ago.

Well when did you get in to the band? NOT UNTIL COPE? Have you even listened to the RAGC trilogy? Have you seen Swiss Army Man? Are you saying you didn’t here Forest Whitaker until HIMYM? Fucking idiot.

I think being excited about the record is okay. Wanting the band to make money at a time they cannot tour is okay. Having a cultish attitude and coercing people into buying more vinyl or subtly shaming even if not obvious, the vibe is kinda there people for not financially supporting the band more sucks.

People should just know that however they are able to support the band (and any bands) during this unprecedent time is okay. I know times are tough for the artists, but times are also tough for many of us as well!

Hey, the dudes went above and beyond in stupid massive ways to make sure these orders are going to everyone on time - that otherwise wouldn’t get them due to certain companies and suppliers that may or may not have been awful. So, that’s really cool and maybe deserve a ‘thanks, y’all’ if you get an opportunity to say it sometime.

Tbh, I think so many of us have this certain idea about how you see yourself in this thread because, instead of making a completely reasonable post like this, you normally lather it in about a dozen layers of what comes across as braggadocio

 

but...you might like what your hear.

 

Fair. But,

1. It’s the internet, there’s zero amounts of braggadocio that will make me feel super cool, especially with such a niche super-fan audience. I love this band, you love this band.

2. I’m extremely lucky that I’ve managed to worm my way to grow relationships and gain trust with my favorite band. I do enjoy giving you guys a bit of that same info, without giving too much away. Especially surrounding this next era of the band, and this release.

3. I’m not cool.
