those bells sound amazing to me - the timbre is so satisfying to me for some reason

 

I am glad they cleaned up cedrics vocals on the final product. Jon’s drumming really stands out on this version though. Raw and shows just how talented he is hearing it this high in the mix consistently throughout

Was going to hold off for the boxset but I’m guessing it’s still a week away at this point

 

A few tidbits from the Cloud Hill IG Q&A:

-Repeatedly dodged the question if the albums would be released individually. So it seems to be a safe bet

-Omar and Cedric have not recorded anything new...at Cloud Hill

-Couldnt believe the shit they got for not including FTM single. Said "Here's the thing, it wasn't part of the original album" and joked about pressing an entire boxset dedicated to that song

-Scabdates was left out because it's a studio recording boxset. Implied that it (and possibly other live recordings) will be coming at some point

-Any more stuff in the vein of Landscape Tantrums coming for other albums? "Maybe. I can't talk about it right now"

-Working on Omars solo catalog. It's coming soon...maybe even some physical copies this year

-Its true that Omar has recorded audio and video of "pretty much his entire career". Was pretty vague but said once he gets his hands on it "we can make something pretty cool"

 

I look forward to any/all future releases. Enjoying Landscape Tantrums right now, very cool stuff

 

He said they're gonna announce what's next in two weeks.

Landscape Tantrums is gonna make my top 5 this year.

 

I added the few loose tracks thyat were fan compiled onto A Missing Chromosome into the playlist as well, especially FTM title track.

I actually had donated to the original Zavalaz kickstarter (or whatever donation company it was) back in the day and was promised tickets to a show and the album, but alas... neither ever happened. I honestly never even heard any of it, you're saying some final tracks or demos are on youtube?

 

No final tracks or demos, just live recordings

 

Damn. Well, I should go seek those out at least, since it's likely that's the most we'll ever get from the project
