If the Germans and French stay out, they’re going to find three more “founding members” (that 3.5b will be enticing to a lot of clubs) and five more invitees. Celtic, Ajax, Porto as founders, Rangers, Sporting Lisbon, Roma, Napoli, and Sevilla as invitees is my guess.

I think it came out earlier that there will be two French sides in it.

Only reason PSG isn’t signing up is because their owner has a lot invested in the CL.

 

Let’s be clear though: new UCL/UEL/new European league also sucks.

 

AFP, a French news agency, have said two French clubs have been invited but one isn't PSG. I've seen some speculate that it's Lyon and Lille but I think one of them is Marseille.

 

There needs to be less teams in the CL not more, fuck the group stage and do it all knockouts with teams that come 1st and 2nd in their leagues only. And change the Europa League back to the UEFA cup and give it some damn prestige again!

 

Monaco have a shot? I know they’re not UCL surprise semi finalists anymore, but the location fit$.

 

Of course, one could be Monaco as their location is a rich man's paradise. That's partly why I suggested Marseille, too.
