Flashback to six months ago when you told me I drink too much water

How do you drink too much water

When I was 12 I drank two 2L containers of cream soda in the span of 4 hours. Wasn't feeling it. Really like Not Your Father's Root Beer though

 

So I put on that first glassjaw record and yeaaaa Lovebites and Razorblades in particular is pretty awful.

 

Any reason why? Love everything Brian's done, including Get Hurt, which I think is unpopular.

 

I don't like Brian's voice, which is interesting because there are similar sounding singers I do like, can't quite put my finger on it

 

Interesting. I used to hate that style too, and then Brian changed that when I first heard Gaslight. Now I love it and think back to how many bands I probably passed over in my younger years that I'd love now.

 

Gaslight post American Slang are extremely boring to downright bad.

Handwritten I visit the least. I think Get Hurt is a great record though. American Slang is probably by favorite though.

Elsie is the best thing Brian has done though. Painkillers is good too, but I have a feeling whatever follows Painkillers is going to be his best yet.

 

Not sure if this is controversial or not, but Muse have at least three absolutely fantastic albums. Origin of Symmetry, Absolution and Black Holes are wonderful, ambitious and creative modern rock records and they were easily one of the most talented and interesting bands in the UK for a good few years.

They've probably peaked now, and their last record in particular wasn't very good, but I think they get a bit of a bum deal on this site/on AP, because they were a bloody brilliant band, and possibly the best live act I've ever seen.

 

I agree, Those three records are great.

Everything else afterwards is just an utter bore though. Which is where a lot of the negativity stems from.

 

Symmetry and Absolution, decent enough. Black Holes mostly whatever, everything else complete and total fucking garbage. They were average at best when they were what you could consider good. The quality of their music doesn't justify their massive popularity in my eyes. I don't even see the appeal of anything after Black Holes.
