I’ve really started to resent this franchise and it sucks

 

Well, all that went down the drain when they decided the world needed a The Last of Us Remake.

 

Feels like a game that very much doesn't need DLC to me. I'd love a third game in another 10 years or so if they have a good idea for it.

 

Yeah, DLC isn’t needed

 

Most games that receive DLC don’t need it, imo. If a single player, narrative driven game needs DLC then the base game is lacking. What’s odd is that DLC was originally planned and then cancelled. Most likely to start working on the rumored TLOU remake.

 

the remake isn't supposed to be made by the actual Naughty Dog team though right? If so then it's even more of a horrible idea.

 

Based on what Schreier said on the MinnMax podcast this week, it was mostly a new studio with several Naughty Dog veterans working with them and overseeing the project. Now it sounds like it has been brought fully into Naughty Dog.

 

They brought in a team from Naughty Dog to finish it.

 

oh man, waste some of your best talent on a game no one needs or even wants.

 

If I recall correctly, they essentially split Naughty Dog into two teams: one to deal with TLOU remake and the other a new game.

By the time the remake is out, the series will be on HBO. It’s not a pretty move, but I get it.
