Love when artists play Detroit, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and skip Cleveland. Julien Baker has never once played Cleveland, correct?

I moved from Boston to the Rochester/Buffalo region of Upstate NY mid-pandemic and I am very disappointed in the lack of show announcements here so far.

 

Boston isn't much better, TBH. I think it'll be a very slow roll until the summer.

I guess I’ll join in and express my disappointment of the lack of cool show announcements for OC

 

A couple outdoor socially distanced NYHC shows just popped up. I’m fully vaxxed & will absolutely be there to see a Madball & Murphy’s Law show where no one can touch each other

I live in the East Village, there is 0 chance that Tompkins show will be distanced.

Do you all think moshing/ crowd surfing culture will come back right away? Do you think venues will enforce rules to prevent it?

 

Hope it doesn’t come back. Crowd surfing is the worst shit ever

 

With the number of people I see in comments saying they can't wait to mosh again, it will definitely come back pretty fast

I hate crowd surfing so much. Where in the terms and conditions for the $35 I just paid does it say I'm required to hold up your sweaty body?

The only time I will ever crowd surf again is if Title Fight gets back together. Otherwise, fuck that noise.

 

What, you don't like getting kicked in the back of the head because you didn't see the crowdsurfing guy coming from the back?

 

Being 6'7 I'm kind of used to it. I get asked at least a dozen times per show to lift crowdsurfers up and most people are really nice about it. I'd take a million crowdsurfers over one person sitting on someone's shoulders though. That shit fucking infuriates me.

 

Oof. Just got a bad flashback to Warped 2016 when I got kicked REALLY hard in the head by a crowdsurfer during NFG’s set

 

Bands need to put crowd surfing behind a paywall, VIPs ONLY
