  1. Yeah MIKE is great. I don’t even actively dislike KYLE or anything, he’s just kinda plain and relatively unremarkable. Hard to hate what doesn’t make an impression

I seriously can’t get enough of Jack Harlow lately. Has he done something shitty I haven’t read about? Feel like I do not see him mentioned ever here.

I always get MIKE confused with Open Mike Eagle. That’s my only contribution to this discussion. I’ve also never listened to either. I should change that

KYLE is a fun rapper who is overall not really impressive, but enjoyable. His latest album is worth a listen but I wouldn't die on a hill for him

I’m really liking Haram so far. I’ll have to check out Armand Hammers’ other albums soon too.

I'm not sure if there's anything else, but he works with people like Chris Brown

I figured there was a reason why. I haven’t heard any tracks with Brown or known much about him since I took the dive.

Ahhh I see it’s one of his newest singles. I hadn’t reached the new album yet so that explains it.

Not saying it’s okay or anything but like 90% of hip-hop artists have worked with Chris Brown or someone similarly problematic.

    hey you lil piss baby

I think more than anything he is just not doing anything that is to the taste of most people in here

Yeah, no disrespect, but Jack Harlow just strikes me as the kind of rapper that white suburban kids listen to and say 'now, this is real hip hop!' haha.

Ehh, I see him getting a decent amount of respect from various different groups of hip hop fans. I truly don't think he's getting bundled in with the Sammy Adams/Asher Roths of the genre.

White suburban kids do that with every rapper they like at the time being.

I’m not like floored by the dude, but definitely like him a hell of a lot more than the likes of Asher Roth.

Personally, he does nothing for me. Skilled, sure. But nothing that makes him stand out. I understand why other would like him, though.

I think more people dislike Jack Harlow not because he's a generic white rapper, but because he's like a generic Big Sean level rapper.

Which is fine for a lot of people not really the stuff that this thread gets excited about.

Anyway, the new Armand Hammer is crazy good as is all their other shit, hoping they can get a lot of notoriety off of this project and get some buzz moving forward because they've been at a really high level for a few years now.

I don’t know how anyone could listen to Asher Roth and think that’s good/unique but then look at Harlow and be like “generic and uninteresting”

Whats the metric we’re using for white rappers here? Lol.

Again I just got into this dude off a recommendation, I’m not gonna die on this hill all day and now that I know the thread isn’t into him I won’t mention moving forward.

But the responses did intrigue me cause like, as a white guy and in a group of what I believe is mostly white guys in here, what do we decide is generic white rap and good white rap? Cause if we go that route in my head it’s Eminem and then anyone else.

Jack Harlow is McDonald's rap. Maybe it tastes good while you're consuming it, but there's nothing substantial underneath the surface, and probably feels bad when you have too much.
