I've said this a lot but I think each of their albums are an improvement upon the previous and I love all 5.

 

I get what Ken's saying though this band has such a wonderful progression where they constantly evolve and explore new sounds while still feeling like Copeland.

 

Exactly. I think Thursday Copeland JEW and The National all do this immaculately

 

Yeah, they have a great progression for sure. Everything they've done is fantastic, but I think the meaning and relevancy is what makes some more important than others for me.

 

for sure. while ESR is my favorite also what i would consider to be their "best", i couldn't argue with the fact that they're show some definite progression on each album. makes me so excited for what's up next.

 

It's interesting how they translate the songs from YAMS and Ixora from record to a live setting. Since the band has 3 guitarists a drummer and a bassist plus Aaron also playing piano it's neat to see how they replicate the more atmospheric and electronic parts of those records with guitars, plus adding in extra parts. Just a great band both live and on record.

 

ESR is the one I don't really like.

ESR was a good start to a new sound but the songs aren't all their best, they mastered that sound on YAMS
definitely more of an 8/10 record for me while the last two are 9+

 

I think I might cry. Paycheck just posted and Columbus VIP is sold out. Just that, San Diego, and LA.

I'm so, so sad.

 

Eat sleep repeat may be my second favorite, ixora being my first. Just got tickets to see them in Philly really amped. I love this band

 

VIP ticket purchased for myself! Regular ticket purchased for my wife! Cannot wait!

 

Seriously contemplating the Grand Rapids show so I can do VIP.

 

Got tickets for Columbus! Bummed I can't afford VIP, it was so great last time. But either way I'm stoked!

That's an idea... I went ahead and just bought a ticket for GR, but I'll definitely email and see if it can be switched. I didn't even consider that!

 

I can't afford VIP but I'll definitely be attending the GR date

 

They're super responsive and its obvious these tours are fan appreciation shows at this point. I think it's definitely worth a shot

I love Aaron's voice when he belts but he doesn't do it often which is fine it makes those moments when he does more special.
