Today really is insane. I like math rock a lot but I'm listening to this album solely because I want to know what "math rock for people who don't like math rock" sounds like.

 

Donovan Wood's Without People deluxe version is out today with 2 new tracks including the song that was initially just a clip in the Interlude, "When the Party's Over".

 

Citizen is a dirty, danceable bop so far.

Thank you and thank you. I’ve heard this a few times now and it makes my day. I love to share my finds/new releases even if no one was listening, but getting the feedback makes it extra rewarding. I get just as much or more out of these weekly threads as I give, so being able to keep “paying it forward” so to speak is a thrill.

I guess that description got me too hahah ;D (I see that's also their official bio on instagram ;d). Though in the end it's hardly math rock to me at all (just the math riffage at times, simillar to the likes of Royal Coda, DGD), it is a pleasant release, pretty cool.
