It’s definitely a groove based song. I like Bedhead much more, but I feel like a song like Keel Timing is less a single in terms of sounds and more serves purpose in the album. But I’ve only listened twice so no conclusion is final here.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

good stuff, def prefer "Bed Head" tho

It really feels like a companion song to Bed Head. Can’t wait to hear it in the context of the whole thing.

The band did an incredible job of sequencing the album. It flows perfectly.

    I enjoyed this.

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

Keel Timing is fun. The Bed Head vocal melody being reused (or rather Bed Head repurposing the KT vocal melody, based off the track listing) threw me off at first but it’s awesome.

Can I go to bed until 4/30?

as a standalone song, no way in hell is this better than bed head. this 100% feels like the kind of song that shines in context of an album. Cool song for now, but makes me want to hear the whole album

  14. I rarely see Tim get his dues as a drummer and this should happen more often.

tbh i don’t like tim’s drumming at all really. he’s probably the most “talented” drummer the band has worked with, but he lacks an emotion to his drumming that the others had

They’ve had two ~and a halfish~, Jeremiah and Tim full time, and Ben Homola touring and a little during SM, and Andy Lee subbed for a minute too.

I think Tim’s pretty reserved in MO. MO doesn’t call for too much crazy or intricate. He does what MO does perfectly, but I think he could do more if it called for it.

I guess I don’t really grade off ‘emotion’ though. I think I grasp what you mean, but it’s nothing I tend to perceive right off the bat when I listen to music.

This would be a good song to run to. I should go for a run.

I will not allow any Tim slander. His style helped the band become more than just the Andy Hull show. I think his drumming and the addition of Prince is what makes them such a good live band.

Will 100% say they evolved live when they nailed down this rhythm section.

    RIP Supporter

Tim is fine unless he’s playing pre-SM songs. I don’t know if lack of emotion is necessarily the right wording but he tends to race through them and they lose some of the impact (I don’t think that’s the word I’m looking for either, but work sucks today and I’m in a hurry so w/e) they used to have when I watched Jeremiah play them.
