The Blue EP was some of their best stuff since.... a long time

Plus the outro of Blue Bloods. C'mon ya'll. Blue EP kicks ass.

i will take new DCFC every time bc they live rent free in my head and literally on my arm but I can still admit when they're bad

 

I think Blue is good and I don’t particularly love their output since Narrow Stairs all that much. thought TYFT was a step in a better direction, and Blue was a slightly better step still. the guitar work in most of those songs feels p classic death cab to me.

 

yeah, like i said, the guitar is good and jason's drums always rule. it's really just a vocals and songwriting issue for me at this point. super safe.

 

Yeah I listened to "To the Ground" again last night and was digging it until Ben started singing. The melodies and that vocal effect just don't work for me at all. I'd take pretty much any song on TYFT and Kintsugi over it.

 

I get that Codes and Keys isn’t loved, but Stay Young, Go Dancing is so damn good.

 

I'm in the minority in that I really really enjoy every album it seems.

 

I don’t dislike any of their albums, even their worst has a handful of songs I like. Kintsugi is their worst IMO.

Honestly really enjoy Codes and Keys.

Stay Young is great, probably one of the better songs on C&K.

 

I just did, it was okay :)

 

To me, C&K is the lowest point in the discography and each record since then has been a gradual improvement.

 

As far as EPs go, the Open Door EP is the best of the best. Surely we can all agree on at least this one thing.

 

Codes and Keys is their only project that I don’t have saved to my library. I only heard that album for the first time last year and not a single song hit for me. Can’t imagine myself ever reaching for that one when I’m in a DCFC mood.

although I am weird and would probably put Kintsugi in my top 3 haha

 

Forbidden Love EP is the GOAT

 

I love most of C&K but I outright pretend that Stay Young doesn’t exist.
