I think I'd call Happiness Is the best post reunion album, solely because of Flicker Fade.

Tough to pick between HI and TW

Yeah, HI and TW are both top notch in my opinion.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

easily TW imo but with a slight tracklist change Happiness is up there

I think I rank HI higher. TW has some good tracks but wasn’t as consistent for me.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, 35-year-old me would much rather listen to HI and TW at this point of my life but TAYF and WYWTB will alway be my two favorites.

Tayf has aged so poorly. Wytwb doesn’t seem nearly as cringe to me.

TW AND HI are amazing albums though, Fuck the haters!

I’d definitely put S/T last out of the three reunion albums. Some great tracks for sure, but there’s a few that really drag the whole thing down and production just seems off, especially with the way the drums sound

Eric Valentine is so, so awful.

    Are You Watching Closely?

I watched a breakdown where he discussed his tones and techniques for drums on one of those albums and was very surprised to hear that they were "lauded". Drum tones have been mostly awful from Louder Now on, getting progressively worse. That kick is the drizzling shits on S/T

Best Places to Be A Mom is one of their best tracks though

Yeah I don’t get putting Self Titled above HI and TW. It’s a good album, but the last two are the best they have ever been.

I dig the production on Third Eye Blind’s S/T and QOTSA’s Songs For the Deaf, but everything else I have heard from him (especially the TBS records), I really loathe the drum sounds.

Drums lack on the whole album obviously but I'd kill for at least a version of This Is All Now with good drums
