Against all odds, I kind of liked this. It brings me no joy to admit that.

 

I feel like this is a half one night half the next kinda thing.

I’d say you can divide between pre and post-Superman appearances. And if you saw the Whedon “Justice League,” you’ll know exactly when it’s coming because it’s almost the same exact scene.

 

I’ll watch a couple hours today and if I’m really feeling it I’ll watch the rest late tonight.

Jared Leto is trying so hard to be Heath Ledger in his scene and it's fucking embarrassing. ugh

 

I’d much rather Leto try to be similar to Ledger’s Joker than to continue being like the joker from SS

Yup. Can't believe they shelled out money to bring that creep back to do a pointless scene teasing a sequel that's never gonna exist. So dumb

 

I started this this morning but got distracted watching Tony Hawk do 540s on Instagram

 

I’m an hour in ... why am I doing this to myself? Everything is slow-mo.

 

I mean, that is literally the "why." Snyder knows this version of Batman doesn't really have a future, & the fanboy in him wanted to give him a scene with his Joker.

In this movie, The Flash goes to save a woman he’s attracted to, and while she’s in slow motion potentially about to die, he brushes her hair aside as hot dogs rain around them. In slow motion.

 

I didn’t find Ezra Miller as obnoxious in the original movie. I don’t think it’s just because he’s a shithead either, his performance is full throttle annoying.

 

It gets worse, the Joker jokes about giving Batman a reacharound. This is content in 2021

 

I love that this movie has three MacGuffins for Steppenwolf to find, the boxes that he takes more than three fucking hours to locate, and then an ENTIRELY SEPARATE MacGuffin for Darkseid to come to Earth and find. just great stuff

 

I have notes on the structure of this movie. It’s not until an hour in that we and the characters learn the backstory of the bad guys. It’s actually a kind of a cool Fellowship of the Ring-esque ancient battle and it should start the movie off like it does in Fellowship. Then Diana and Bruce should go recruiting with the audience having the full knowledge of what they’re up against, makes the stakes feel higher as the other Justice League characters refuse the call.
