Bar the lack of control vs ten men, I thought Arsenal were excellent. Spurs made it easier for them but they read the game well and understood how to control it, snuff out counter attacks and attack Spurs' weak points.

 

Weird from Spurs to see how much we don’t like being pressured on the ball at the back for the last few matches, and to just decide to still 10 men behind the ball and do nothing for 75 minutes.

Jose truly is a tactical master.

 

Honestly, even if the plan was to attack and press our players were so shit it didn’t matter. Arsenal were passing around cones basically. And then we we’d get possession it was more often an empty pass than anything useful.

Jenas is terrible. Of course all ex-players have allegiances to their old teams but none seem to get as emotional as he does as when Spurs lose.

These pundits are hilarious. Jenas calls it a “massive step backwards”. Yeah, it was a shit performance but we just had like a month of good form. Some days, especially Spurs, you’re just not on it. The overreactions are wild. I don’t think we moved up or down the table. The teams directly in front of us also lost points. It was a shitty game that kinda won’t have that huge of an affect on the season.

Just gotta hope the team can move on and bounce back.

Man, I enjoy Jenas getting getting a roasting for being a pillock. Decent pundit at times, but also really comes out with some absolute rubbish, particularly around Spurs.

Not that I'm bitter about how he acted at Newcastle or anything.

 

He absolutely fecking hates us for some reason. One of the least impartial commentators. Didn’t really expect it from him tbh

 

Jenas is everywhere at the moment. I think he even hosts the One Show lol.
