My wife and I were chatting about this recently and the whole Chad thing came up. Couldn’t help but notice how each of his wives was younger than the next. Now, does that make him a bad man? Objectively, no it doesn’t. But the whole getting with Hayley so young certainly gives off a vibe of “grooming” which is just...gross.

 

He went on a website purposefully seeking out barely legal teens as a grown-ass man and then recorded and photographed them without their consent. Given this is the internet, you know that on sites like that there's no guarantee of the age of people you're chatting with which means he also didn't care if they were old enough to begin with. Being purposefully negligent in dismissing age to get off makes you a fucking pedophile, my guy. He really had someone write a dissertation to confirm his disgusting behavior and how hurt he is about the consequences and perception of it. Rot in hell, shit bag.

 

Today is the day I twist the narrative. And if I put it in bold, that means it’s true.

Everyone is saying this was hastily written, but I think the lack of detail and remorse was carefully planned to ensure people come away feeling bad for him.

While he states he is going to go into “graphic detail” about what he did and why - it really gets quickly summed up as - “I went on an adult site (like we all do amirite?!?) and through a BIG mixup I may have recorded a teensy bit of child porn.” From there it’s the vindictive ex-wife story.

I caught myself thinking on first read, man sucks for this guy. But then gave it more thought. Between the lack of remorse, making himself the victim in the story - oh and the fact recording people without their consent would be wrong and messed up, even if they were of age!

 

Yeah, I thought the same thing - so did any of these people you recorded know that they were being filmed and consent to that? I’m gonna assume they did not.

 

Fellas, whomst amongst us has not decided we don’t love our wives, sought out emotional affairs on tour, and then jacked off to anonymous headless teenagers online.

I wonder if he and Chad crowd sourced tour girls together. Bros supporting bros.

 

Even if the people he was in contact with were of legal age (they weren't, but if) it's still gross that significantly older men (like Steve) will prey on barely legal teens fresh out of high school or fresh in college. If the defense from anyone is "but they technically were legal"...that's still super creepy and really not better at all.

I didn't know until just now that they started dating in 2007. I thought they started seeing one another when Paramore really blew up with Ain't It Fun.

Makes you wonder if the instantaneous act to remove Shit-head Steve was more about keeping Chad's skeletons buried and the NFG cash-cow going than actually doing the right thing.

 

Very true, but when you have celebs like Scott Disick dating Amelia Grey (18yo) and the media capturing their romantic getaway to Miami, it all becomes a vicious cycle.

Sorry, maybe I worded that incorrectly. Seeing the media, in particular pop culture media, glorify relationships between older men and younger women is what I was referring to. I used the Scott D example as he moved on from a relationship with a at the time 19yo, Sofia Richie, to an 18yo Amelia Grey.

Media should be looking at this and see the clear grooming going on and taking a stronger stance on it. It’s gross.

 

Not sure what the point of this statement is. NFG were a pretty big band in the early 2000's, but that was two decades ago now.

NFG aren't that big anymore, so the only people that are going to be reading this statement are the ones who know about his case in depth already and aren't going to be convinced of his "innocence"..... you really wasted your time writing this up, Steve.
