I think I finished the first season of Sense8 but it became a chore. Couldn’t bring myself to even start the second season.

Yellowstone, despite airing on the Paramount network, is not on Paramount+ currently lol. Think it’s licensed to Peacock right now.

 

Good book, mess of a movie. Love both.

My friends and I just had our second annual 'Has Fallen' drunk stream-a-thon, albeit on Netflix party. What a beautiful cluster fuck.

 

Hulu two-fer. Nomadland is a beautiful, compassionate masterpiece. The United States vs Billie Holiday is pretty bad with a good lead performance.

I heard mixed things about the first season, is that what you are watching? I saw Season 2 is with Chidi so I'm more interested now than before

 

My wife and I both love the hell out of Yellowstone. I would say it takes a few episodes to settle in and find its groove though. They aren't bad or anything, but it gets really good.

 

yeah. it’s hardly perfect but i like the episode by episode construct of it. some are better than others but i feel like it told a pretty cohesive start to finish. ngl i definitely started it bc i wanted to be on board for chidi actor

Definitely agree with both sentiments here. I wanted much more out of US vs. Billie Holiday and the writing was laughable at points, but man, was Andra Day good

I don’t recall seeing anything about filming for Love Life but I could’ve missed something or it might not have been announced or anything. I really loved the first season though. I think the format is great.

Yeah she kept me watching through but there was a lot wrong. Played really loose with history, which is okay if you do it for a narrative purpose, which this didn’t. Never conveyed what made her special as an artist, just super interested in her as a junkie. And really Bohemian Rhapsodified “Strange Fruit”
