This is so bad. Can’t believe the band actually thought their fans would enjoy this. I’m super happy to see this band receive harsh criticism even though it’s for the wrong reasons. Lyrics are awfully tone deaf given the pandemic and struggles people are facing. F.YM. is pure trash.

I’m typically a fan of their poppy music but this....nah. Seems like a slap in the face to their hardcore fans.

Also reminds me of Bring Me The Horizon’s Amo...but I actually dig that album haha.

I went to Josh's IG post (I obviously do not follow him) to see what the comments were like and if anyone was calling him out. Didn't see much of that and saw way too many positive comments unfortunately, but did see this as one of the most liked comments.

"Convinced all the positive comments are bots. This is [sic] albums [sic] is such an extreme disappointment. Calling it “You’re Welcome” is such a slap in the face."

The last sentence gave me a good laugh and perfectly sums up my feelings on it after barely getting through it once.

 

Out of curiosity I went to listen to this and it’s really fucking bad.

They were gonna play these songs on tour with Slipknot....?????

 

don’t compare it to a brilliant album like amo.

 

I wasn't gonna listen to any of it but did a couple to see if it's really that bad. It really is lol. That FYM song is one of the worst I've heard in a long time.

 

The second half is better than the first - that’s one positive

 

Everything about this is terrible, and fuck Josh Woodard.

 

Reading the youtube comments on FYM is cracking me up.

Hate to admit the song is actually kinda catchy

 

Only because it’s closer the end. This whole thing is a turd.

 

Haha the thought of them playing any of this in front of a Slipknot crowd is pretty hilarious.

Really? I think it’s still clearly Jeremy. That’s my problem - as much as most of it sucks I’m still a sucker for his fake ass studio voice lol

 

when he sings in his low register it sounds like a different person to me.

This album is kind of like if Maroon 5 made a screamy pop punk album, just unreal that this is a real thing that exists.

 

On that note, maybe Adam Levine is onto something...

If any band deserved to release a god awful album that is hated by both fans and critics and didn’t even get promoted by their own fancy new “fuck you money” label it’s this one.

As a longtime fan. Fuck this predatory band.

 

This may sound wild but this album kind of reminds me that it was made by an abusive piece of shit and his scumbag enablers

 

The insane thing about it all, it’s the same person who produced the new Teenage Wrist album. Night and Day.

 

The Facebook and YouTube comments are incredibly harsh. I can’t remember the last time a band pissed off fans so much. It’s great to see though I wish the allegations against Josh were given more coverage. The band should be losing steam over continually supporting a known abuser, not because they released a god awful album.

That being said, I don’t know how they thought this would go over well given with the fact that they delayed the album forever and had one of the worst album rollouts I’ve seen in quite some time. This is especially puzzling given the fact that they signed to a huge label and should have had more support than ever. Complete failure by the band and their team.

 

I bet it's because Teenage Wrist are hungry to prove that they can deliver good music without their main songwriter and ADTR were phoning it in just to shit out a new album and profit from touring. Producers work better with a band that has drive and has something to prove.
