saturday is a little top heavy, but i think that Morrissey, Death Cab, Descendents, Death Cab, Brand New, Motion City, The Hold Steady, and Nas makes for a damn solid lineup and probably the day i'm most excited about

 

Don't get me wrong, Saturday still has some stuff I'm very excited about (the Vandals are one of my favorite bands that I have never seen and are pretty much tied with the Misfits for who I am most excited to see). I was just talking about the total number of bands that I have any interest in watching. There are just a ridiculous amount of bands I wouldn't mind checking out on Friday and Sunday and That list is only about half as big on Saturday.

 

Sunday has the most bands I want to see but I am most excited for Friday.

What gives me hope for the schedule coming out this week is that they will probably be preoccupied next week with heading out to Denver. Last year Denver's schedule was announced two weeks before it took place and then Chicago's was announced the next Wednesday (a week before Riot Fest Denver happened and three weeks before Riot Fest Chicago). So I have my fingers crossed!

 

Bold prediction. The set times will get announced sometime in the next three weeks!

 

Nah, I think they will just surprise everyone. They are all going to be surprise sets.

 

So many terrible bands/artists at the bottom of the bill each day.

 

For Friday the bottom of the bill excites me more than the top. Sunday also has some good stuff but Saturday only has a few that interest me.

 

if somehow someway the descendents and motion city were on sunday i would fly out JUST for sunday.

Yes, they've been pretty straightforward about the schedule not being released until that contest runs out.

 

I had completely forgotten about this contest. Yeah, I would assume we will get it on 8/31 or 9/1 then. Obviously probably not going to be released before they have a name for one of the stages.

And I also voted for Bieber. I look forward to seeing the jokes that come out of having a stage named Bieber.

 

I'm scared of being booed off the stage
