Was begging for Molde (or Rangers so we could dump Stevie G out). Tough draw, but it's cool facing another huge European club again.

Rooting for Villareal to win out, I think. They're a delightful club.

No offence to the Everton fan in this thread, but there are a couple of Everton fans on Reddit who are absolutely delusional, claiming they are as big a club as Arsenal.

Don’t get me wrong, they’re great and a better actual team than us right now, but to think a club that hasn’t won a trophy in almost 30 years and hasn’t been in the Champions League since before the iPhone is as big as the third biggest club in the country is mad.

Have just started watching premier league a few weeks back. I’ve been loving it! Looks like a decent slate of games tomorrow

The "big club" argument is pretty much exclusively nonsense. Some would argue that Arsenal being third biggest is charitable. They've not had a league title for 17 years, have been perennial also rans and been FA cup specialists. Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea have all won a CL title in that time, all have had a league title and you've got Man City who have set point total records and claimed every domestic honour going. Maybe Arsenal are really only 5th biggest. :eh:

Maybe, 3rd or 5th is semantics, but at least that is realistic. These fans were acting like Everton were a super club and Arsenal were now Norwich lol.

I can’t see him moving this summer, and I don’t think clubs will spend that much on him when there are younger, less injury prone options for the same price.

That six year contract looks like a mistake when clubs like Real wanted him and now can’t afford him (assuming he has those ambitions)

Going to be a crazy week for our FPL league. Handful of Triple Captain chips placed on different players and also a few Bench Boost on this Double game week should make for some interesting scores.

I wouldn't say Everton are as big a club as Arsenal at the moment but I do think the pendulum is swinging in Everton's favour. Not only have we got a "big club" manager in Ancelotti but our new stadium being ready for 2024 will take us to an even higher level. We can now keep our best players ( see Digne signing his new contract as recently as this week) and our recruitment drive appears to be relentless in a quest for success ( see us being in the mix for Aarons). Also, didn't Usmanov pull out at Arsenal only to end up helping his friend Moshiri out at Everton?

You've mentioned our lack of trophies and European qualification but there's more to think about than that.

It’s impossible to predict a single one of these games. Gonna be so good/stressful.

All going off in Bournemouth vs Watford. Ended more like an ice hockey game than a football match. Lermas behaviour was truly disgraceful though. Shame that Ben Pearson had been subbed off cos he’d have really been going for it. Wilshere really is an embarrassment.

That is mad. Watford and Bournemouth will end up in trouble over that.

No idea why Wilshere runs in to get involved when he's on a yellow, stupid behaviour, but then he's mobbed by three Watford players who starts pulling and pushing him. Red could have sent off about four players from each side.

Do you ever see certain teams/players commit the same foul so many times it's comical but never get called and then wonder if there's like a secret board at ref HQ where it's like "Okay, Barcelona can never get a red card for last man fouls but Sevilla can literally cut an ACL with a hedgeclipper and we won't call it?" And "Casemiro can never get a second yellow or he'll release our annual orgy footage."

Thomas Müller just got subbed in against Köln after not playing for 3 weeks due to Covid. With his first touch he assisted Lewy for the 3:1...
