I legit argued with a guy on FB complaining that it’s $15 and it’s an old game that’s been on PC forever. Like people had to work on that port to make it work and that costs money, dev time ain’t free. Plus, $15 isn’t really asking a lot, like come on.

 

i want someone at sony m$ or some dev to explain to me how and why porting to the new gen consoles (or last gen ftm) isnt the exact same thing as the PC version of the game

I genuinely think this has more to do with them biting off more than they chew with the patch and them trying to save face versus the cyberattack btw

 

Has anyone played Planet Coaster? Now that it's finally on sale I think I might get it to scratch that Roller Coaster Tycoon itch

 

I’ve seen a lot of cool stuff people has made on it, looks good to me

 

Tycoon was great because it had a ton of pre-fab coasters and rides. PC looks way to intense for me.

When it's a colossal waste of talent, money and manpower? Yeah, I will celebrate that. These developers have been stuck trying to revive a game plagued with issues from it's conception due to terrible mismanagement and they're now able to bring their ideas and skills to Mass Effect and Dragon Age. I think for job security, which can be a very difficult thing in the games industry, them being on these new projects for established and beloved franchises is a lot more secure.

 

I don't know why you have to be so combative about something when there's a ton of perfectly logical reasons why Anthem ending is a good thing and why it should have been put out to pasture much sooner.

 

I mean, a lot of people spent years of their lives working on that and were doing what they could to fix a broken ass game for the fans. You may not of liked it, that’s okay. But you could be a little more considerate, that’s all.

 

They got moved from a garbage fire to a game that will probably actually be good and successful so I think it’s fine in this case

 

I didn't see anywhere in the statement that they said the Anthem Next team is moving to another project. In fact it said they're keeping the live service running as is.

 

Thank you. That's what I've been saying! They've poured so much time and money into Anthem and then again with Anthem NEXT that it's far better to transfer the devs to the other teams both from a expense and a personnel stance.

 

Gonna get some juicy games regardless if this is true.

 

I dunno, I’m a bit iffy on anything new from BioWare after ME: Andromeda and now this. Maybe DA4 will be the comeback BW desperately needs, it’s certainly possible. I’m gonna wait on the fence though.
