Edit: Yeah, just looked up the backstage segment from Raw last night with them. Definitely the same vibe to it that the first promo that originally caught my attention had. There is definitely some real-life stuff in there that they can both draw from that makes this instantly feel more elevated than just about anything else going. Similar to what is making the Roman stuff work so well right now. Fingers crossed that the second time around they get it right with the creative, and not the nonsensical stuff they did with Lacey on the first pass

 

As much as I dislike the story, Ric going “I NEVER SAID I WAS THE FATHER” got a good chuckle out of me

Feels like they've redefined the grand slam so much its become meaningless, but, in the same way we assume KO is gonna find a way to win a tag title to become a grand slam champ, it makes sense that Miz would do it 2x through.

Both his actual top title runs are trash, and his actual value is in the mid card. Edge, D-Bry, Angle...all guys who, once they moved up, became the kind of guys you cant just drop back to the US title scene and fans be happy with it.

Weirdly, AJ Styles is a dude, if they're smart, I can see getting a year or so more out of his career by having him tag with someone in title chases to give them the rub, and he could become a 2x grand slam
