I would just like to state for the record, for the shit I got about The Mistake it is only 1 out of 2 songs in their entire discography not to receive a vote. (and the only song over 2 minutes not to) after 84 votes so far. B-)

I didn’t realize how tough this would be. They’re just so consistent

Their worst songs are better than most band's best songs.

Whoa. It might be the weakest on the record, but I feel like it's the weakest in the same way I feel like "Halloween" is the weakest off Punisher. "Weak" is a relative term cause the whole album is so uniformly awesome. Kind of shocked no one voted for it.

  9. It would be fourth on my list, I almost included it

28 people have submitted. Gonna wait until tonight to give enough time.

So far LAVLAC has a very clear top 4.

METN has a very clear top 4.

Simple Math has a very clear top 4/5ish

Cope has a VERY VERY clear top 2. With 3 tied a bit below.

Black Mile has a Very clear top 2 with 4 tied a bit below.

Simple Math has the most diversity.

The shit you got wasn't because you hated the song, it was because you hated the WOO, which is inarguably the best part of the song.

hate is a strong word. I don’t hate any Manchester song. Even the Woo.

  15. I still think Cope is by far their weakest. the songs I listed plus All I Really Wanted and maybe The Ocean are the only ones I really think all that much about

Sleeper 1972 is one of those songs that I love so much it's crazy to me that everyone doesn't have it in their top 3.

  19. I had trouble cherry picking songs from Virgin besides the opener and closer. I think of it more as a complete piece. still an incredible record

    so long. so repetitive.

edit: also the strings are too much, but that’s my issue with a lot of SM

Definitely agree some length could’ve been cut, but love the mood/sound/vibe plus the lyrics really resonate.

It was the song that got me into the band and its still probably one of my favourites.
