I loathed this and Atonement. I don't think I've ever been so bored with films in my life. Atonement was beautifully shot though.

Haven't seen Atonement. I watch P&P at least once a month, though. I gotta get my romance from somewhere since it's not happening IRL.

Yeah... He's charming, but this cycle of guys being an asshole, becoming besties, then declaring love is getting old. I find this ironic considering my love of P&P, but the cycle is getting old.

 

I'm a fan of tacos... Though a pound of turkey lasts me a week, at least.

Sure.

Buy a steak and some frozen french fries. Heavily season your steak with salt and pepper. Preheat your oven. Throw your fries in the oven (I like to add salt, pepper, herbes de provence, smoked paprika to my fries.. sometimes pecorino romano or parmigiano reggiano too). Get a pan really hot, sear the steak until medium-rare. Once your steak is nearly cooked, add a dollop of butter and baste. You can toss in garlic cloves with the butter or any fresh herbs you have, etc. Pull out the steak, let it rest. Slice after it's rested, serve with the fries.

As for a sauce, you don't need one, but it's always better with one. You could make a simple red wine reduction, an herb butter, blue cheese butter, or go for the gold with bernaise.
