Can’t believe it’s been six years.

 

I got through 50 episodes of the Flagrant Ones in a week and I'm already sad for when I get caught up.

 

It cracks me up every time Carl says MacDonalds.

 

The episode where they talk to Himas and he talks about how much he hates LeBron and replacing all the Gatorade at the Lakras games with margarita mix had me nearly doubled over laughing at work.

"Himas no! It's too sweet!"

On the Rocks Hopes You’re Cool With Ignoring All the Bad Stuff

 

I skimmed that article but I don’t know what people expect from Regan. He’s not going to dive deep into something like covid, he’s just going to tell some hopefully funny jokes.

 

To me, it was more the fact that he filmed a special during a pandemic in front of 10s of thousands or people. Not to mention the months he toured clubs preparing for it.

I hadn't realized it until I turned on the special and his opening joke was about how Covid hit and his hair turned grey. Then the camera panned to a packed crowd at Red Rocks.

 

Yeah the touring during covid is definitely fucked up.

 

I live across the street from a comedy venue and they’ve been having shows for months. Everyone from local standups to David Spade, Whitney Cummings, and a bunch of others. Very limited seating though.

Along with a slew of other shit, comedians’/club owners’ reaction to COVID is really just making me hate standup

 

I don’t hate stand up but I definitely don’t watch as much as I used to. Podcasts kinda took that spot over.

 

There's a lot of great stand up but club culture is definitely toxic

 

Yeah stand up has gone to shit the last handful of years and covid put a bullet in it for me. At least for a while. Most decent ones gave up and started utilizing other/better methods of comedy and most of the ones still doing it suck ass and make me embarrassed to say I was a comedy fan.
