Hearing For Me This is Heaven with the piano part finally getting played was incredible. Robin adds so much to these songs.

My wife surprised me with the ticket to watch this tonight for v-day. Holy shit, best surprise in a long, long time. It’s perfect. I’m on my second watch in a row, and they are still just the best band. These streams have been such a treat this winter

Hoping for the rest of the albums to be performed in full at some point!

Just watched it. I've said it before, but I've never been into Clarity that much. However that was a great performance(holy shit, Crush ripped). It sounded superb. I listened to the true album a couple of weeks ago and forgot how energetic and riffy some of the songs were. I think I'm coming around on a lot of these songs and starting to find the greatness in some of the hooks and little stand out parts here and there.

(I still don't really care of Table For Glasses other than for it being just a mediocre mood setter. But I mean, I appreciate it.)

Lmao most artists go entire careers without writing anything as good as Table For Glasses

 

I had this thought the other night as I was watching the stream: Clarity has no particular highs for me. Maybe the extended coda of Goodbye Sky Harbor, with it dropping out and building up to that iconic drum fill and pickup at 13:46 gives it the edge but like, it's all so strong and I appreciate it as a single piece of work - but you're damn right Table For Glasses is a special opener.

It’s such a perfect mood setter for that album. They rarely do openers like that anymore, which is a shame, as much as I love almost all their openers

 

They are fucking fantastic at openers, and closers. They really go all out on their bookends.

 

Tbh I wish more bands wrote openers like table for glasses. Love a good slow burn opener

Anyway. “T for G’” just isn’t a song that I connect with. It’s just “fine”. I also don’t care for celery unless it’s cooked in with other things.

That's the one exception I can think of in terms of going all out but I love how comparatively raw it is.
