yeah. this is leagues ahead of that for me midway through my first listen. that one felt like a fairly generic shoegaze album, but I think this one has much more personality and better hooks, not for nothing

 

Stella is a phenomenal closer. Just a sledgehammer.

 

Not a gamechanger but man Taste of Gasoline scratches all the right itches.

 

This shit rocks

 

I don't quite think it touches the highs of CNJ, but overall it's a better album.

 

bummed I have been eyeing this for awhile but wanted to wait until the album dropped and now it’s gone :( I even checked yesterday and it wasn’t gone yet so I’m just a dumbass

Melodies and riffs remind me of some band(s) from like the late 90s/early 2000s. Can’t think of who tho. In any case I’m absolutely loving this

 

Yeah I don’t really listen to a lot of music like this anymore, but I’m starting to love this record. I was sort of disappointed about the changes they made after the other vocalist left the band, put the hooks and melodies are on point

 

Loving the JEW vibes mixed with 90's alt rock and shoe gaze.

Reminds me a lot of the last basement record. That’s what it is. Chorus of wasting time is super similar to the single from that one

 

I am noticing a trend where you think every band sounds like Basement! Haha!!! (FYI not a bad thing)

 

Genuinely haven’t listened to that band in years haha so I don’t know where this is con coming from

 

I'm hearing a LOT of Acceptance.

The hook in "Wasting Time" sounds almost exactly like "Fall" by Over It.

I love Beside Myself! I feel like it’s quite underrated within Basement’s discography now two years later.

I saw both of these bands play twice together in 2019.

 

yeah I think that one might be my favorite, honestly, even though I love(d) colour me in kindness. the jimmy vibes just really elevate it
