I definitely heard “mouthfuck” the first time but quickly made the mental correction. That percussive outro on “Mad Woman” is one of my favorite things on either record, too

Jenny is a singer songwriter. The songs are really emotionally affecting to me and it’s produced by Aaron Marsh, who’s one of my favorite producers alive, so it sounds warm and has tons of great little details. Honestly you should definitely listen cause she seems like a really small artist who could use a writer in her corner.

I will say that I genuinely like all the songs on both Taylor records. I just found myself a little more moved by evermore.

And noted! I'll add it to my listening list.

Lots I haven't heard that I've been meaning to check out (Rina Sawayama, McCartney, Jason Isbell) and a few artists that I'd kind of forgotten about that I didn't know released new music last year (Lydia Loveless, Gabrielle Alpin), which is always exciting! Also intrigued by that Kylie album...

I don't recognise these names at all (or I don't think I do anyway...). Anything in particular that you'd specifically recommend?

Lots of great stuff on there! Also a lot of stuff I haven't listened to. I still need to listen to that Phoebe Bridgers EP. I keep forgetting about it.

2020 is the first year in a long time where I didn't sit down and make a list. It was too stressful of a year for me. That being said, Higher Power - 27 Miles Underwater was definitely my favorite release of the year.

I posted somewhere in here... still haven’t gotten around to making a list.

But, Denison Witmer’s American Foresquare was my favorite album of 2020.
