I feel like I was led astray by you guys with Vast of Night, I found it pretty damn slow and uneventful. Some interesting-ish dialogue didn't save the movie for me, kept hoping it would build up to something and then the payoff was... expected and predictable.

Going to watch In & Of Itself tonight with my lady. Going in knowing very little other than positive reactions. The creator was on You Made It Weird, where they vaguely discussed the show and I am super intrigued.

 

It’s best to go in blind and just enjoy it.

 

Seriously the less you know the better.

 

In & Of Itself is such a cool experience. I can’t imagine the power of seeing it live.

 

Someone would’ve had to carry me out of the theater if I had seen it live

 

Netflix:

Watched Shutter Island last night for the first tine in ten years and forgot that the “twist” isn’t really a twist as it’s the last 10 minutes of movie explaining who Teddy is. It’s really only the final 30 seconds or so that is vague / open to interpretation. Still feel like it’s weirdly shot at times with transitions but that’s what Martin was going for.

Also started Inception today for the first time in ten years. Forgot how fun and fast moving it is (at least the first 40 minutes or so until I had to stop)

 

I’m surprised no one here has watched Malcolm and Marie yet.

 

probably gonna watch it tomorrow out of sheer curiosity

 

I was going to and then decided I wasn’t in the mood for a two person character piece on a Saturday night

Also here I was bitching about too many episodes for Money Heist and then season 3 felt rushed and too short. I can’t win.

Malcolm and Marie is pretty good, for the record. Some self-indulgent whining, some accurate soap boxing. It’s watchable all the way through and Zendaya is very good
