I love fresh prince and still love boy meets world.

 

The fly episode of Breaking Bad is great, actually.

 

How is that an unpopular opinion?

 

because “nothing happened” evidently

 

That is usually one of the top rated episodes.

 

It’s definitely good if not a bit overrated

 

My brother in law says BB is one of the worst shows ever and complains about it being slow.

I'm like bro it opens with the main character driving an RV in his underwear in the desert with dead bodies in the back of it flying around lol

 

I don't get when people say BCS is better than BB

I like both shows, but BCS piggybacks off so much that BB did well

Don't find it particularly believable either that a highly capable and successful woman like Kim Wexler would put up with Jimmy's antics for more than 10 minutes but that's a rant for another day lol

 

Prequels in general aren’t that interesting to me. Especially if characters dying or being in near-death situations is a common occurrence because I know which characters definitely will never die since they appear later in the original show/movie.

 

It has one of the best, most exciting first episodes ever imo. Never got the slow complaints.

 

i’d be more okay with people rating bcs higher if they weren’t doing it since about season 2-3. it hadn’t yet earned enough of its stripes

 

BB is fine.

 

Breaking Bad is a good show often confused with being a great one. The first season is really rough, and it really only found its rhythm in seasons four and five.

I'll watch Better Call Saul when it ends.

 

I partly agree with that, but there are character shields in almost every show. You know Walter White or Tony Soprano or Don Draper isn't going to die halfway through season two.

 

Sure, but it’s not 100% definitive like a prequel is.

 

I'm planning on watching both BB and BCS for the first time when the latter ends

 

Admittedly, I'm very far behind in BCS, so I'm not sure how it progresses after season two. But became much more interesting once it settled into its own world. Season one was decent, but it relied on BB a lot.

 

The most recent season of BCS is easily its best.

 

As far YA novel movies go, my hot take is: “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part II” is a super fun, satisfying conclusion for a bad movie series. “Mockingjay Part II” is a wet fart of a finale for what's perceived as the better franchise.

 

I always found a lot of the hatred toward the Twilight series to be sexist. Yes, it was bad (I saw the first four films), but a lot of the people that were constantly criticizing the film were watching superhero movies.

 

The first one was horrendously bad and 100 percent worth the hate. The rest are not though.

 

I only saw the first one but it was awful, worse than maybe every superhero movie I've seen. I haven't seen the rest but the clips I have looked similarly horrendous.

I think a lot of people disliked the Mockingjay films but I loved both.

 

my wife watches them all the time. they're horrendously, awful awful awful movies. Boring. Nothing happens. Bad acting. bad writing. bad effects. It set Stewart/Pattinson back for too long.

and on the flipside. the Hunger games series is one of my all time favorites and i consider it to be completely underrated.

 

All of the hunger games are bad except Catching Fire.

 

I saw every Twilight except 1 at midnight, I think. Fun times
