You can however also invest in a Roth 401k if you so wish (obviously there's no tax deduction in that case). Then upon separation of service roll that into a Roth IRA. Contributions would be able to be withdrawn then.

You can also split contributions in a 401k into traditional 401k contributions and Roth ones if your workplace plan allows.

There are a litany of ways to get money into Roth accounts if you know the rules and tax implications

 

This is all correct, but don't let the variety of options scare you from contributing at all. Getting started contributing initially is way more impactful and important than various Roth strategies.
