Only so many venues! Would hate to be routing tours

 

Feels so weird to think about being at a show right now

 

Personally I’d do anything to be at a show right now. I miss them so much. They are my getaway. I haven’t been to anything since October 2019

this is the longest I’ve gone without going to anything since I started going to concerts in 2004


They will eventually be back and until then I’ll wait and be patient and grateful for every single one I’ve been to since 2004.

it’s gonna be so weird when they do come back tho. I’m sure the first couple months they to back somehow it will be limited capacity and masks required and I’m sure some tours will require people to either be tested before hand or have the vaccine if that ever goes through and becomes a actual thing

 

I have a feeling rage, mcr and hella mega will all be pushed to summer 22 where they could possibly be at full capacity

 

What would the likelihood be of club tours joining together in one venue for some dates (either an early show time or opting for a venue with two stages)? I'm thinking of something like when TDWP Zombie 5 tour joined the Chelsea Grin/Carnifex tour for a date in 2015:


This would be a way to accommodate the likely multiple tours going on at the same time when tours come back that will be fighting to book venues/dates.

 

Damn, I bought Hella Mega tickets back in 2019, it would be 3 years since the tickets went on sale until the show happens.

ive had tickets to both rage and mcr since onsale dates so it would be just as long for both of those too if they all get pushed

 

seeing rage with a half full crowd seems dumb - I'm much rather wait until it's safe and I can be packed in with 20,000 other people all jumping around in unison.

Everywhere in florida has. But really only that style of music. I haven't seen any respectable rock groups or rappers play in Florida at all

 

Florida loves their EDM.

 

Your post reminded me this, not like Steel Panther is a respectable rock group.

I think Rage would much prefer not to play in front of a half-full crowd too lol

 

My cousin has been going to raves just about every weekend since Covid started. The EDM crowd doesn't seem too concerned about the state of things.

Has anyone heard any update on Swan Fest? It's scheduled for April & there's no way it'll happen, but I figured there would've been a cancellation or rescheduling by now

 

Also waiting for what feels like a certain cancellation of the WCAR/TDWP 10 year TPAS tour. The 3rd set of reschedules is planned to begin Feb 10 in Philly.

Fwiw, the Biden admin said today they’re expecting 300mil Americans to be vaccinated by summer. Hope they’re able to stay on that track so we can have safe shows again.
