Yeah, last good one I remember was Gerard’s last game against us where he got second off 50 seconds after coming on :-p

Good result all things considered. I think we edged it in the second half and were the more threatening side.

Our whole defence was absolutely fantastic today to be honest. Every one of them did a great job keeping Liverpool looking a bit toothless.

  4. This year is so frustrating because Spurs could very easily be on top. The Newcastle handball BS, giving up 3 goals after 80 mins to draw, countless other late minute draws....if we didn’t suck ass so much in the last 10 mins we’d be in first by a few points lol

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

Shaw motm easily; whole backline was great which is shocking to say with a Lindelof-Maguire pairing

I give it to Lindelof because that was just a standard brilliant Shaw performance this season.

Still one of the funniest football moments of all time. His slip against Chelsea was also great.

Losing 6-1 to Stoke in his final ever game was also great

What a cross that was from De Bruyne for Stones to score.

100 assists for De Bruyne. Quite a player

Do we have any resident/regular Liverpool fans in here? I see plenty representing United.

That match was a snoozer, but lately it seems all of the matches between "top teams" have been that way. Teams playing not to lose, rather than to win.

As a Liverpool fan, 1) I cannot believe how long this goal drought has gone on. Definitely thought that Shaqiri's creativity would add a spark today and that we would get through. and 2) Liverpool is going to continue to struggle with their patch-job center backs. They need to sign a center back badly.

I was going to say that actually. I see in the press Liverpool are saying they're not going to sign one, but they clearly so desperately need one. They probably go to favourites for the league if they sign even a semi competent natural CB.

  18. We haven’t seen much movement at all this window and I kinda think that’ll be the story of the window. Wouldn’t surprise me if everyone just plays it out with what they have.

If you're right and they play it out with what they have, Liverpool finishes outside of the top 4. That's my bold prediction.

I'm sure you'd be happy with that result, as a Spurs fan!

Right on, I'm happy to help represent now!

Alisson had a hell of a day, what a guy he is. And it was great to see Thiago back in the mix as well.

  22. Speaking of needing a CB, Spurs could really use one too. Rodon looked pretty good today but we were playing the worst offensive team in the league. So I’m trying to contain my excitement with him. Regardless, it was a promising performance from a younger player came in with some hype.

We haven’t been linked to any CB this window though. Maybe something pops up, but like I said before, I’m not expecting much.

I've been seeing suggestions on Twitter from a bunch of accounts I follow to keep up with Korean football that Spurs are being linked with Kim Minjae again (after they were linked with in the summer iirc?). He's a pretty solid young-ish (24) CB, was a standout in the K League a few years ago for Jeonbuk before he went to China. Not sure how he's been over there, but he's a staple of the national team these days I'm pretty sure.

I've seen that Beijing Guoan kind of want him gone these days too, because they've got too many foreign players, so they might let him go on the cheap(ish). Might be a decent pick up?
