I mean I try to be considerate, I’m not gonna put on something completely inaccessible. But if Pedro Costa is on my watchlist she’s gonna sit through a nearly silent, extremely slow Portuguese film. If Mubi has a bunch of Jodorowski, we might be in for a ride.

But she has good taste, she’s just not as into movies as I am. I think she’s just glad I don’t make her sit through Marvel or Star Wars.

When theaters were a thing I took her to Wolf of Wall Street, Spider-Verse, and Parasite, and she loved them all.
