I saw them live twice before; really good. Divisionary doesn't hit me as hard as the first two releases, but still a unique/different track, so still dig

 

Least favorite of the four released

 

Absolute fucking banger

 

Snowblood is still my jam, followed by House of Glass

 

Definitely not as unique or different as the other tracks, but fun and feeds into my sensibilities quite a bit.

very cool seeing these guys get some love on here. impulse/augment are my top 2 albums ever and these singles are the best they've ever sounded with this new lineup. scorpion hymn is my least favorite of the 4, as i expected bc a jt only song is a hard sell for me, but he brings a ton of impressive variety and the riffing is really strong too. if its my least favorite on the record (which is likely since i think its the only jt solo song from what ive seen them say about it) i will be very happy w the album

 

Jesse is god-tier at everything he does. Hopefully we get some Ghost Atlas next.

 

I back this for sure! Ghost Atlas is very underrated.

 

It's so weird... as much as I'm looking forward to hearing this, these songs really haven't done a whole lot for me... idk what it is. I'm kind of left with the feeling like "yep, that's a solid ERRA track"... and don't get me wrong, ERRA is really freaking phenomenal lol, but nothing is really hitting me all that hard, aside from maybe Snowblood.

I'm hoping for some stand-out album cuts I guess, which I'm sure they'll deliver... like Safehaven, Valhalla... and that final 3 track run off of Neon... Expiate, Unify, Ultimata... Ooof.

UPDATE: Gave Scorpion Hymn another couple of listens and digging it a lot right now... favorite track so far.

 

Just got the promo for this and holy crap is it good. It just sounds so massive.

 

Eidolon is just wow...

Also, Lunar Halo.

Honestly, the whole back half.

I think so. I’d have to listen again but him and JT do a good job trading off for the most part.

 

The album is a sort of a concept album about anxiety, depression and post apocalyptic themes. They were inspired by Aokigahara aka the Suicide Forest of Japan.

Not at the level of Snowblood or House of Glass for me, but still decent
