Ryland left after the recording of the album and their drummer quit not too long after AYP was released, I believe.

 

Ryland and Jake departed the band in 2019.

Word! I was saying it in the last thread but, the new songs were giving me a very post-punk revival feel that I am absolutely here for. If there’s a lot of that on the record then I’ll be happy

Loving the new song. Was also a big fan of their Big Mouth single and I’m happy to see similar vibes on this one.

 

Mat is such an interesting vocalist. Love it.

 

Agreed, really love that he often embraces multiple vocal approaches even in just one song

Have never been able to get really into them outside a couple songs but I’m liking the new single quite a bit. Reminds me of Crime in Stereo’s last album a bit

haha I don’t know about that. I can hear early Bloc Party on it though.

 

The song has grown on me after multiple listens. I still think the chorus is not as big and driving as it should be plus the drums could be more impactful but fiiiiiine... preordering the cloudy blue swirl.

 

I've listened to this song so much already. Love it and very excited for the direction they're taking

 

This fucking rocks! Saw this live when they opened for Manchester Orchestra in November 2019 and finally hearing the studio version.
