I think heavily; Trump had taken them to the brink, and this insurrection has taken them over the edge. Most of MAGA twitter simply doesn't now how to react, or what they can do going forward. Most just want unity, or whatever BS. "You reap what you sow" has never been more true for them than now, and they're simply deer caught in headlights. Do they continue to try and court Trumps base? Or do they try to break off from them and move back to the left a bit going forward? Either way, they're fucked

 

I really think 2022 is going to be the blue wave everyone dreams about. Republicans are completely fractured. 2024 is a different story.

 

I think he already announced he was done after this term actually, so Fetterman is going to be going for an empty seat. And the PA GOP is almsot certainly gonna end up nominating some far right nutter

 

Two years is a long time. People barely remember the big stories from a month ago.

More dangerous than Trump might be a soft-spoken, seemingly reasonable, normal and charming conservative or far right candidate. Maybe even a person of color or lgbtqa. Trump is pretty fringe but still landed a surprisingly large amount of support for a second term. Not too difficult to imagine how much pull a candidate who vibes like Dave Rubin or Tim Pool could have.

In 2016 people were posting how Dems would easily take the Senate, how the GOP would break into a schism due to Trump, etc
