Not so sure if you should be one of the people hoping for this to happen

 

I know it is a serious thing people are talking about, but all I think of with the PhD / Doctor debate is Sir Dr. Stephen Colbert, Esq. literally every damn time is brought up.

My current boss is a PhD and I always refer to her as "Dr. ---" when we are talking, just as a respect thing. I honestly didn't even know it was a thing people complained or even really thought about until this Dr. Biden stuff.

 

Post a couple 2016 AP tweets and then we might consider letting you in the big leagues

 

As my phd supervisor, a female professor, once told me: people who insist on being addressed with the title, have a problem with themselves.

But rightfully carrying an earned title is not insisting.

I want to post this but also am a bit leery of what’s out of frame there. Can’t tell if he’s yelling at other cops still holding the line to get back or not

 

It is a short clip, and we definitely don't see any of what is happening right out of frame, but his body language and the hand gestures *reeeally* look like he is doing the encouraging 'hurry up, let's go' thing to the people doing the storming...

I do realize that even if that is what is happening here, video of one person doing it doesn't mean that was the official policy or anything like that. Given how easy it was for them to get in though, I feel like there were at least a good number of police / security people present who at the very least looked the other way, and at worst actively supported what was going on.

 

I do hate to use the words "lucky" and "Trump" in the same sentence unless the word [redacted] is also involved, but thankfully someone yelled at Trump enough to take him away from his narcissism-fueled stupor long enough to tell people to go home (however poorly he did it). If he would've told them to blow up/set fire to the capitol and/or start executing capitol police, it's pretty clear that most of his worshippers would have gone right along with it. The worst part of all of this is considering how unbelievably worse this could have turned out
