On WOR, Meltzer says that Damian Priest was due to debut on Smackdown last week as Kevin Owens' new friend, leading to Owens and Priest v Reigns and Uso on the show, but Kevin thought that there was no logic behind being best friends with Damien Priest out of nowhere when they have no history and nothing in common. Roman agreed, and the angle was dropped. Apparently Priest was in the building and ready to go.

I don’t necessarily care either way about priest. Doesn’t seem like a bad dude or but I wouldn’t say he’s a favorite of mine. He might be better off with that decision though. Otherwise he’d just be eating pins right off the bat. Which I’m sure he’ll eventually end up doing but still

 

It’s interesting how they were able to stop a dumb decision like that from happening, was it just because Roman sided with Kevin?

 

I think he's still supposed to debut on SD soon once they figure out a plan for him. I can see him being huge on the main roster

 

I was at the show he debuted for ROH and he was a fucking monster. It was honestly awesome other than him murdering Cheeseburger.

It'd be great if they gave him a strong showing in the Rumble. Pissed he's not with Keith Lee because their house show match fucking ruled.

Great little match too. I can't see him being in NXTUK long before joining Dunne and GYV in being promoted to main NXT.

I can see Priest getting the push Corbin got when he first got called up. And wouldn’t mind that. I actually don’t mind Corbin at all except for the fact they don’t let his character change. Oh and whoever changed his theme should be immediately fired.

I thought Punishment was the definition of fine. I was still watching NXT when he debuted and I thought he would be a good solid hand. I just didn't think people would take to him that much.

 

Damian Priest is fine. He can go for a big guy and that's probably what got him over. Plus him trolling Gargano in their feud was great. He will be better suited to the main roster, though.

Saying that, that can be said to a lot of call ups that didn't work. Hey EC3!

 

shingo is the best wrestler in the world this year for me but ishimori and hiromu aren't far behind. fuck they're all so good.
