Kinda funny how we all hated the 3 man booths in WWE but AEW frequently makes a 4 man booth work

Well, Jericho is god awful at commentary; his call of that finish is right up there with JBL screaming "Brilliant" at Seth Rollins' cash-in in trying to steal the moment, with "they're gonna do the sign!". He was fine for the Brodie stuff because that show was campy anyway, but screaming into the mic endlessly isnt commentary.

 

I mean, sure he's an absolute dickhead outside of the ring, but given his history of being so great on the mic, when they put him on commentary he.....is somehow awful there too.

 

But even then, they always have a 3 man booth and it’s usually pretty good. And they usually have guest commentators with them and it usually works

 

I don’t mind the announce team at AEW, my issue is all three are lead players by play guys and sometimes it feels like a cluster with everyone trying to jump in to make the call. It’s infinitely better than it was in the early days but it still gets a bit much. Jericho on commentary is as bad as, like, JBL to me.

 

When I randomly pop on AEW, Jericho's commentating sounds like bland WWE commentary. I also thought he had a babyface turn a few months ago when I first tuned into it.

Man I need to start watching this stuff again though. I miss @Ruethless.

 

Ofc we do not know yet how far the AEW-Impact-Partnership will go, but do you guys think that when the Good Brothers left WWE, they wanted to sign with AEW but were told by AEW and Kallis to sign with Impact for that storyline purpose?

 

Nah, I just think Impact dropped them the largest bag of cash that they couldn't turn down

 

Yeah, the Good Brothers made it clear they had heat with AEW management for leaving them holding the bag in Summer 2019.

But they even said themselves it would wear-off with time, and wouldn't be surprised if they worked together. And here we are.

(How was Dynamite tonight anyway? I tried watching it, but really couldn't focus.)

 

I figured Kenny would show up at New Year Dash. Kinda bummed about that. The show was so nothing this year.

 

I think they didn't want to do a big story at NYD because they truly don't know when the next event they'll even be able to do is with Japan scaling back again from COVID

I was hoping for a Kenny video at it but I get it not happening yet

 

I'd put money on Ospreay winning the title by the end of the year.
