Seems more like the cops "can't stop them" because they're unwilling to cause the same violence against Trump supporters that they would against BLM supporters

My guess is you'd need more than Bernie. Murk, Collins, and even Romney may give Biden votes on anyone not super progressive in the name of "unity".

Yeah, that's true. Then hopefully a group of progressives get together and figure out how to leverage this to get someone good in the cabinet -- probably Bernie, Warren, Markey, Merkley would be the most likely, but even then it is possible it won't be enough. I doubt it will happen, but one can hope.

Maybe Bernie can just say "hey Joe make me Labor secretary and we are all cool"
