Is Garland for AG better, worse, or about what we expected from a Biden admin? I don't know much about him other than a lot of progressives not loving him for SCOTUS

The only potential positive is that with the senate now they can fill the DC Circuit seat with a progressive judge, which would be great because that is an influential court, but what are the chances that happens

And the Biden has to go and pick worst possible AG pick, immediately reminding us just how disappointing the next four years are actually going to be?

So you've just found out that you, against all odds, will have your party in control of the Senate and thus will be able to get whatever nominees you want through the confirmation process.

And you immediately think "Damn now's a great time to let everyone know I'm going to nominate someone who even Mitch McConnell would have allowed a vote on anyway."

Progressives have been shut out of Biden's cabinet completely so far. What are the odds Bernie could threaten to vote against a couple of his cabinet picks if he doesn't pick any more progressives to be in his cabinet? Could be a good idea, but that also further divides the party.

If this is true, it is kind of funny how I felt the tiniest bit okay about our country for about 45 minutes before wanting to burn the entire thing down again.

 

Bernie won't tank any of Biden's nominees, he's friends with Biden.

I would if I were him though. He has that power with this margin.
