First Hot 100 song in about 12 years. Wild.

How high did Damned If I Do Yah chart??

 

It debuted at #67 and then dropped off the next week.

Monsters didn't start as high, but I think it's safe to say this one has significantly more traction than Damned If I Do Ya ever did and will hopefully climb up higher. I actually hear them play Monsters on the radio frequently.

That said, since it's somewhat relevant, I still think it's a crime that Damned If I Do Ya made such a small impact on the charts. I still think that song has the hugest hook ATL have ever written, and that's no small feat.

I remember people saying back when that song was released that if they were ever going to get a radio hit, it would be that song. It definitely deserved better.

 

I hear Monsters all over Sirius Radio but I don't listen to regular radio so not sure if it gets played there? I also don't know if there's a significant difference between Sirius and normal radio? Regardless, I'm stoked for them and hope it continues to climb!

 

This song is insanely well written. I’m surprised it took this long.
