The fact that still, to this day, there is not one single person in the House that I could point to and say “X could mount a real challenge to Pelosi from the left if they tried” is pretty dispiriting. It truly feels like no work was done at all on that front.

If I’m reading this correctly and I possibly am not and depending on the number of “squad” members, Pelosi wins but by an even smaller lead.

I know this isn't a rich observation, but I hate the fact that the American political machine is going to end up eating itself and the whole country alive.

We all know both parties are corporatist garbage, which is why they maufacture all these dumb culture war issues (Masks, Overturning Roe V. Wade, Voter Fraud) that have clear obvious answers, but throwing ambiguity there allows them to avoid talking about the real problems with our economy.

We're starting little fires to distract from the crumbling foundation. It's going to all going to collapse and we're just exacerbating it.

 

Also, I do think it's funny how fractured our political parties themselves are too.

The left has The Commies, The SJW's, and The NeoLibs always at each other's throats, and the GOP side has The Crony Capitalists, The Nazis, & The Libertarians always fighting too. Both parties are fucking huge tents and people's placement on them depends very precariously on whether they prioritize egalitarianism or capitalism more.

 

As much as I like the idea of forcethevote being Ramona's alt, its clear they have very different politics. They also have different birthdays listed on their accounts, though obviously that's easy enough to fake.

I AM open to a jekyll and hyde type situation here though, leftist by day, libertarian by night.

It does seem more likely that, like @Marx&Recreation is suggesting, its someone's alt here. Thieves burgle their own neighbourhoods because that's what they know, that kind of thing.
