I’m excited to see how Ridder does against an SEC defense today. He’s probably the top QB prospect I know the least about and most places put him on par with Trask and Jones

 

I wonder how much money Trask lost after Pitts and Toney opted out

 

The good from Trask outweighs a bad game IMO. He’s looked good otherwise with the revolving door of pass catchers (while Pitts was out with a concussion and then Toney disappeared for most of the middle of the season before coming on strong again at the end)

 

Trask had an awesome season. Most QBs look worse when their top targets aren’t playing.

 

I don't know, if I see that game, I don't take him in the top 15. His last game before declaring, without his top weapons, against a horrendous defense, and he puts up a performance whose failure is almost entirely unmatched? That'd freak me out if I was torn between him and Mac Jones or Trey Lance. Kyler Murray is the only starting NFL QB to have as bad of a game as Trask just had and Murray did it in his 2nd start ever. I'm not writing Trask off, but I do think that this was a revealing game and that Chicago/New England probably should do what Denver did with Drew Lock (or Minny/Baltimore with Teddy/Lamar) instead of taking him high.

 

I wouldn’t take him in the top 15, but I wasn’t thinking of him as a top 15 player before that game either.

 

I don't think he's a top 15 player or anything but he's definitely been consistently projected to Chicago or New England throughout the year and there were a lot of people torn on where to rank him.

 

I’m starting to transition to “let’s get the pieces in place so we can draft a QB next year and put them in a position to succeed” plan.
