Just realised we didn’t win for over two months but we’re only 8 points behind Spurs.

League is mad tight this year.

    Edit: meant Chelsea lol

    9, no?

    Ah caught your edit.

    It's all hell.

Are Spurs just knackered? Comparing their intensity to how they were playing at the start of this season (especially against United) is miles apart.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Doubtful. Teams just caught on to the counterattack with Kane/Son and we haven’t adapted, and instead try to knock one in and then sit on it

Saw a lot of people talking about Kane diving again, but the most shocking thing is someone pointed out he still hasn’t won a single trophy in his career, and that he’s already 27. Mad.

I mean we were down to ten men and kept attacking. It was more our stupidity than their greatness.

    It's all hell.

Totally forgot about the Martial red!

  10. Silva had a nice dive in the box as well. But the internet will only see Kane going down and single him out.

That tends to happen when you do it so often. Ask Robert Pires lol.

They should make it a rule that whoever is bottom on Christmas Day, by law has to appoint Big Sam.

    Regular

Not even Big Sam could get a performance out of the shower of shite who are there now.

  14. I think the worst part of having Jose as manager is having to listen to the commentator bad mouth and moan about him the entire time.

A Liverpool fan friend of mine tweeted today was “proof Mou is done at the top level” as if they weren’t top 2/3 weeks ago lol.

    it’s all an insane narrative.

That disallowed Burnley goal is bullshit.

    hmmm

That shit drives me up the wall.

  18. I mean I’ve learned that soccer fans and media in general are so insanely reactionary to every little thing that happens haha

My post above is an example of that. Win a few games in a row and all the papers put out the headlines asking if you’re title contenders. It happened with Chelsea and Spurs earlier this year. Now it’s happening with United. Everywhere I look they’re being talked about challenging Liverpool. Fair. But one loss from now and they’ll be calling for Ole’s head lol

  19. That game wrapped up what is certainly the toughest part of the schedule. We played a lot of top teams in a short stretch and I think the team is fatigued from it. They have looked it the last few games. But this time of year is so busy we don’t have time to recover even if the opponents are a little weaker.

jose’s managing today was pretty indicative of everything that’s wrong with his tactics, though. the subs, the gameplan, the formation... all of it.

  21. I agree to an extent. I think the players deserve blame too. There were parts of the game where we pressed and tried to be more offensive and the players just weren’t good enough. A lot of careless passes. And defensively Wolves passed around us with ease the entire game. You can say it was because we were setup poorly which I don’t think is untrue but the players also looked pretty rough.

yeah, i mean, i had issues with the starting xi to begin with. i don’t think they played well, at all. i also think jose is more than partly to blame for that.

he’s going to be a hot and cold manager repeatedly, just like he’s been elsewhere. easy to root for him when the team is cruising and easy to point out his glaring flaws with results like the last month

I was trying to describe myself to someone

I never understand this as an argument about the qualities or legacy of a player, but it gets trotted out a lot, particularly on social media. It's a team sport and teams win trophies. They're not individual accolades. If he chooses to stay with Spurs because that's his club and doesn't get lured away by teams better placed to win things, that doesn't detract from how good of a player he is. It's utter nonsense.

Oh I agree, I just hadn't thought about it like that before. In my head he's like 24 and still have a decade ahead of him, so to find out he likely has 3-4 peak years left to win stuff was quite shocking.
