It’s totally worth it for the commentary track. Also, Heat would be a superb CC release.

This was a hell of a lot of fun to put together. Only doing one re-watch (curious to see how Roma holds up for me):

Has anyone ever seen Tony Scott’s Revenge? I feel like it’s almost completely forgotten but I’ve been burning through his filmography and I’m kinda surprised CC hasn’t released it. Just an absolutely brutal precursor to True Romance or Man on Fire.

Just watched Enter the Dragon from the Bruce Lee Criterion collection set and damn, it’s hot. The original monaural audio is icing on the cake. I can’t wait to pop in The Big Boss.

Heads up: If you live in the Midwest, Family Video is closing all of their locations and liquidating their merchandise.

Most locations have The Irishman and Marriage Story on Criterion Blu-ray for $8-10 each.

It's been a while since I've made a Criterion purchase. This will be the next thing I buy

Lot of grass on that cover too

So excited for this release, obviously it’s one people have been anticipating for a while. I have actually never seen it (the only Bong film I haven’t seen). I had the opportunity to watch it not long ago and decided against it because I wanted to wait for the Criterion release.

Watched High and Low and Shadows today. First day I’ve had the house to myself (no kids or wife) in maybe 3 years lol. Gonna squeeze in a double feature tonight as well. Not sure what though.

Watched The Handmaiden last night, wow. So good. I love Oldboy and Joint Security Area, this was every bit as good as those.

not sure who owns the rights to Park’s films but you would think some would be entering the collection at some point.

This might be a good time to spotlight some of the other good curating blu-ray companies out there, Arrow and Masters of Cinema in particular.

Side note: the Scott Pilgrim blu-ray (which is absolutely loaded with features) is currently FIVE BUCKS on Amazon.

I guess my point is if I bought a release from another company....I would just rebuy it if it came out on Criterion. They have the best product imo, so I wait. Even if they haven’t made the jump to 4K yet.
