They're all bad movies, I'll leave it at that.

I wouldn't put serbian film in the same category as August Underground/Guinea Pig... although it's intention is to be vile that intention comes from a different place than just for the sake of being vile. It's also shot way better.

Salo isn't a bad movie also.

    Doing fine. Prestigious

I thought the point of Serbian Film was to make the audience feel as tho they were experiencing something that felt as bad what the refugees went thru during the Yugoslav Wars in the 90's.

I thought I read it was because Serbia would only fund movies it deemed "politically correct" so the director wanted to make the opposite of that?

That's what I've heard in reviews. I haven't watched it though, and don't know if I ever will

i may get better but we won't ever get well Prestigious

yah this is the interpretation i lean towards. perhaps meaningful, but i think the director loses the plot personally with some of his choices

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

What are everyone's thoughts on The Poughkeepsie Tapes?

I watched it once when it came out and remember being scared, but that was nearly a decade ago and I was 17. Been wanting to go back and watch it again.

I remember that scene when he's crawling on the floor towards the girl who's tied up creeping the FUCK out of me when I first saw it. That's about it haha.

I think I've seen it, but not too sure?

I haven't watched a horror flick recently. I probably should, but waiting for Don't Breathe.

I wonder how I'd feel about it nowadays but at the time I adored it. I remember hearing about it and then it took me forever to actually find it.

    This is pretty interesting:

Bootleg Universe Short Script and Story Contest

It's a writing contest where any character from any universe can be expanded upon; basically fan fiction, but the winning short screenplay will be filmed and released on Youtube with a budget upwards of 100k.

The winning short will be produced and distributed by Adi Shankar (Lone Survivor, Dread, The Gray).

I think I'm going to try my hand at this, anyone want to come up with random ideas for maybe some obscure or lesser known characters?

I'd like to know what Patrick Bateman might be up to since his madness in the 80's.

I wish I hadn't seen the trailer for Don't Breathe, but I'm still really looking forward to it. Fede Alvarez is great

I watched Visions with Isla Fisher last night. Super cheesy with horrible dialog but the end was fun

Ah, alright. Saw it, was decent enough but nothing special.

I haven't seen a new horror movie that I've actually liked for a while now. I think The Witch was the last one I really, really liked.

The Invitation and They Look Like People were both good

Meh, The Invitation is just another one of those "things aren't what they seem to be in this house" type movies; The Perfect Host did something similar and was far superior, though different.

I haven't seen They Look Like People even though I've seen so much good stuff about it.

    That Rings trailer was something.

  25. As a fan of the original and a big fan of the Verbinski remake, I'm kind of bummed Rings looks pretty terrible.
