I had some charred steak today, still any steak is good steak so I can't complain too much.

 

I have a steak in my fridge I bought a couple days ago, but a stomach bug today kept me from enjoying it yet. It's just sitting there, taunting me.

 

i had a fried chicken/crab cake/jalapeno smoked bacon club sandwich at this baltimore restaurant yesterday and it was unreal good

 

Please post pictures of it.

 

Ginger and garlic have to be the two spices that I use most frequently. I think I put garlic in everything.



This kind of frozen garlic is amazing. I like the taste of this more than actually chopping up cloves.

 

I wish I liked cooking as much as I like eating food. Maybe because cooking for one is pretty boring or something, but I rarely do it.

Mostly just wish I could cook like I used to while I was in Italy. Lost my touch.

 

I'm gonna have to look for those frozen garlic cubes. I'd use them so often.

 

Are those cubes better than stuff like this? Use this stuff religiously:

 

Walmart has them for sure. Well, they have a different brand, but they are still excellent.

 

Oh, definitely. These cubes literally melt into the food. It's so easy to get the garlic properly dispersed within the food.

 

I'll definitely take a look for them. Right now if I don't have fresh garlic on hand I always have garlic powder around but I'd love to use these to get a bit more flavor than just a powder.

 

Going to have to look into these for sure. And if they end up being everything, gonna have to keep an eye out at Costco because I'm about that discount bulk lifestyle when it comes to food.

 

Hm. I do get a lot of stress relief in meal prep. When I was working at a law firm, I would prep my lunches for the week on Sunday afternoons. Actually got to the point where I'd look forward to cutting up salad stuff for an hour. I suppose I could get to the same place with meals.

The more I'm thinking about it, I think I also have this really bad habit of not cooking enough for me to get full when I cook for myself. So I'm looking for food again a little bit later and it just seems redundant.

Perhaps! I have a friend who does this. Cooks two huge meals every three days, then alternates which one she eats for lunch and dinner until she runs out. Then repeats.

I think I'd enjoy cooking if I had a larger budget, too. You can't get too crazy with food when your weekly budget is under like $40.

 

I had KFC's hot chicken for lunch today.

It wasn't that bad for fast food. Something that absolutely needs to be served hot though.

 

I'm making flank steak sandwiches for tonight. Some marinara sauce, mozzarella, all in a hoagie. I can't wait.

 

I'm getting Pizza Hut.

 

...I still dig pizza hut stuffed crusts.

I know it's bad, but let me appreciate it dammit.

 

I liked the sauce drizzle of honey sriracha that they used to have. I guess they got rid of it recently. :'(

Gonna make some ziti if I have time tonight, busy week so I gotta just make something to hang around
