Hell yeah, and I'm playing it and loving it. I also just want to wander down some dark corridors in first person without a weapon looking for flashlight batteries though.

 

I have 85 hours on DQXI already. This game is long.

And it’s also fucking awesome. I don’t ever want it to end.

Hooked up my Series X last night.

My 3 year old Yamaha audio receiver is awesome, but it apparently won't pass through 120hz/fps. I have my Xbox, PS4Pro, Apple TV 4k all hooked to it then out to my LG OLED(120hz screen). I can hook the Xbox directly to the TV then run an optical audio cable out into the receiver I'll just have to do some input juggling(on top of some picture setting adjustments again on my TV). HOWEVER..... optical doesn't send out the higher quality sound profiles like Dolby Atmos, TrueHD, ect like HDMI does. So if I hook it up that way I'll have the 120hz option but loose the ability to have the higher audio quality, although I'm not sure how much I'll notice the audio. MY 3 year old TV will do 1080p @ 120hz but only 4k @ 60hz. Newer models do 4k@120hz like the Xbox will output.

I hate new tech.

The dynamic backgrounds are dope tho.

I’m currently running with Jade, Sylvando, and Erik, but might swap one of them out for Hendrik here soon and give him a shot. Trying to use everyone here and there. If I had to pick a favorite, I guess probably Jade? I mostly love them all haha

Jade is a badass. Sylvando was a godsend with Hustle Dance, and his buffs are great. One character who I didn't use as much (and I wish I did because he has the potential to be super busted) is Erik.

 

Jade was definitely the big damage machine with those spear moves

I used him to cheese the last last boss fight, that’s about it

 

Yeah there's really nothing like it nowadays. Nier/Drakengard franchise is the only "recent" games I can think of that have hit me as hard. I've heard 13 Sentinels for the ps4 is full of similar themes and sci-fi so hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.

 

DQXI might be my favorite game aside from P5

I finsihed yakuza 0 with a 22% completion rating lmao it is a good thing I am not trying for 100%

 

The C7 year models only have ARC which doesn't send out the Atmos and similar audio profiles. Hindsite now is I should have waited a year on the TV. Oh well. I'll probably play around with configurations. Might hook Xbox to the TV and leave my other things hooked to the receiver. I really want the option to play games at higher than 60fps when I can.

On another note: I'm really thinking about returning my physical copy of Cyberpunk to Best Buy since their allowing it through today. All the talk around the game has turned me off. I know my Series X will play it better than my One X did, but its still the console version. They'll have some time to work out more of the kinks. I may wait to get the official next gen version when that comes out. If I take it back I may get AC: Valhalla.
